Ammonium sulphate (N 21+24 S)
Ammonium sulphate (N 21+24 S)
Purpose and possibilities of usage: Nitrogen in the fertilizer is in the form of ammonia nitrogen making it easier for plants to absorb it. It is recommended fertilization of winter grains with ammonium sulphate in spring to combine with fertilization with ammonium nitrate or other fertilizer containing nitrate nitrogen for the rapid availability of nitrogen (NO3) for plants. Ammonium sulphate affects slower than ammonium nitrate, but less washes out of the soil (it can be fertilized early in spring or in autumn). It is less suitable for additional fertilization.
